Boquete – Panamá
This is a cool city located in the west of Panama with many extreme sports to enjoy.
The city is quite quiet and from the moment we arrived, we felt it. The people were quite friendly. There are many elderly people here who are foreigners, they have decided to go to this city to retire. You will also see many indigenous communities in this region wearing traditional costumes.
This is the home of the Baru Volcano from which you can see the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean if you are at the top. It is said to be quite demanding and it is best to climb with a guide as we heard a couple of stories of travellers getting lost.
There are many agencies here to make your stay a little more enjoyable. You can choose between a bit of adrenaline or just doing something quiet. We didn’t do much. We hiked a bit to see some waterfalls and walked around town but there is a lot to do in Boquete.
